So those of you who read the blog regularly will know that i’m a sucker for flat design. So when I spotted that Shapes & Co had created a series of superhero postcards using flat design principles I was all over it.
Calligraffiti is a combination of calligraphy and graffiti. It is about the art of writing and very often uses Arabic or Japanese characters, sometimes using the Western alphabet in Eastern style. The father of Calligraffiti is Niels Shoe Meulman, who started to experiment with mixing calligraphy with graffiti: traditional handwriting with a metropolitan attitude.
