Calligraffiti is a combination of calligraphy and graffiti. It is about the art of writing and very often uses Arabic or Japanese characters, sometimes using the Western alphabet in Eastern style. The father of Calligraffiti is Niels Shoe Meulman, who started to experiment with mixing calligraphy with graffiti: traditional handwriting with a metropolitan attitude.
I love light san-serif fonts. There’s just something very clean and elegant about them. You can imagine my delight when Lost Type announced a brand new light weight font this week called Maven. I’m in love. The Maven font is a lovely, san-serif, multipurpose font. Very clean, very sharp, and free to download from their website.
